Founder | Education Consultant | Orton-Gillingham Specialist
Kirsten Anderson has provided FastBridge training and consulting to educators nationwide since 2017. She partners with schools and districts to facilitate productive training that fits their needs now and sets them up for a successful implementation. Her highest priority is to empower educators to feel confident in their work with students, understand how to maximize the use of FastBridge in their MTSS and gain exceptional data literacy skills that will help them be intentional and effective with their teaching.
Kirsten also served on the University of Minnesota FAST for Success Reading team, a year-long professional development program that provided coaching for educators in leading effective data team meetings using FastBridge data, MTSS protocols, and the Science of Reading.
Additionally, one of Kirsten’s great joys has been providing Orton-Gillingham tutoring to students with dyslexia and other learning challenges since 2011. She conducts regular evaluations and progress monitoring, uses multi-sensory techniques, and loves to incorporate creativity into her lessons to enhance student learning. Kirsten often collaborates with her students’ teachers to align the instruction and intervention the students are receiving in tutoring with the additional support they are receiving at school.
Kirsten’s love of teaching and partnering with other educators rests on the foundation of ten years of teaching in elementary and middle schools in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Her classroom experience includes middle school reading and language arts, middle and high school Special Education, and elementary music.
The Kinetic Teacher offers expert FastBridge training to educators throughout all implementation phases, catering to novice users and those with several years of experience.
